Big railways in 1:160 scale.

We are a group of enthusiastic N scale modellers. Together we plan, build and operate a modular layout based on our own module standard and show it at public exhibitions several times a year.

The Club

The club was founded in January 2003. Almost all founding members were N scale fans who had already been building modules, so it was natural to stay with this kind of model railway building and create a modular layout to present at exhibitions.

Every two weeks we meet for a sociable evening to talk about the latest news, projects and gossip. Guests, interested visitors and of course new members are always welcome.

The Modules

Every member builds their own modules. At exhibitions they are joined to form one large layout – a little different each time.

Our module types

  • Crossover

    6 modules

Crossovers on double track – trains can change to the other track.

  • Junction

    22 modules

Here the line divides – creating a network instead of a single line.

  • Line

    149 modules

Connect the stations – single or double track, through fields, forests and villages.

  • Locomotive depot

    8 modules

Engine shed, turntable and servicing facilities – home of the locomotives.

  • Reversing loop

    16 modules

At the end of the line, trains turn in a loop and head back.

  • Siding

    8 modules

Sidings for factories, warehouses and freight traffic.

  • Station

    62 modules

From small passing stations to large through stations, usually made of several modules.

  • Traction depot

    5 modules

Stabling and servicing facilities for locomotives, modelled on Austrian prototypes.
